Happy Monday! Sorry for the hiatus, but I spent this weekend at a women’s recovery retreat where I camped, ate, and had an amazing time with a group of my friends. I am a couple days late on this, so I will save the weekend recap for tomorrow.
My foodie pen pal for the month of May was Tracie and I loved her package! If you aren’t familiar with foodie pen pals, you can either click here or on the button on the sidebar. It is an awesome program where you get matched up with someone and are able to exchange boxes of food instead of letters. Who doesn’t love boxes of surprise food??
Here is my package in all its glory:
I haven’t had dried apple chips before, but they are awesome. The ingredients are: apples. Sign me up.
Since I avoid gluten, she was kind enough to send me this gluten free protein cereal. I haven’t had it yet, but it sounds delicious and is a great snack to take with me on the go.
This sea salt came at a perfect time because I had just finished mine by pouring it all over my eggs every morning. This one is cool because I can adjust the grain size from fine to coarse depending on my mood.
I have to work up some courage to eat these almonds because I am not always in a wasabi mood. I am definitely all about spice, but wasabi-type spice is a special torture.
I love flaxseed and use it all the time in baking. I can always use more of this! I popped it in the fridge since I still have an open bag, but it will definitely get put to use!
I don’t know what I am going to do with this salad dressing but it is definitely a first. It reminds me of the pink ooze in Ghostbusters II. What a tight movie.
I was MOST excited about these Enjoy Life chips. I have seen them used in so many recipes, but haven’t bought any yet. Most of the ones I see used are these mini chips, but I have only been able to find the opposite of the spectrum at the stores. I CAN’T WAIT TO TRY THESE.
Well that is is for May. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for June. Thanks so much Tracie!!
Question of the day: What foods would you like to get in the mail?
